Ernie hired me to work on his KSD-TV/St. Louis, weekly television show "THE PARADE OF MAGIC" in 1953, and, I worked with Ernie, and his beautiful wife & assistant, ARLENE MARDEL, from 1953 to 1957. This , then, is the actual story about how the journey that I've taken since that time began, and about those that helped me in those early days...and how their help launched my career. If it were not for them and their help & support at that time, you might not be reading these words today.

Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, The Penquins, The Five Satins, Little Richard...well, you get the idea. He was a very special, unique, and, creative individual. A dynamic performer in-person, and a gentle, kind, friend off-stage. In this Tribute, you'll see many great photos from my Archives/Collection - some that were packed away for over 50 years - read my personal memories, not only about Criswell, but about HOLLYWOOD: My first-impressions of Hollywood when I landed there in 1962, where I lived while I was there, how Cris & myself met, and the strange-but-true connectiions that he and I had. Again, producing this Tribute to Cris was very meaningful to me as it brought back my thoughts, memories, and, feelings of a "by-gone era"...the Hollywood, Los Angeles, and, Southern California mystique & reality that permeated the 1940's through the 70's. I was privileged to be a part of that scene & culture at one time, and sharing my stories with you is truly a way of giving you further insight to myself, my friends, and, how it all had blended together through the years into my career that wouldn't be possible without your continued kindness & support.
